January 25, 1946 Dear Miss Gottlieb:
You will be interested to know that I received Heinz Gordon’s reply, dated January
16th, and reading as follows:
“......Your letter was forwarded to us in Sweden, but unfortunately missed us there again, and we only received it in England last week.– I have immediately contacted Mr. Siegfried Stern and asked for an interview, and I will do my very best to make him realize that it would be best for the two children, Beate and Suse, to go to America.– I will inform you of the results of this interview, and I hope I will be successful.”
If you should hear from Mr. Stern about his conversation with Heinz Gordon, please advise me.
Your sister told me that you are in the midst of final examinations. Here are my best wishes for satisfactory results.– Please let me know when you graduate. When will you be ready for license application?
