j’ai bien reçu ta lettre qui ma fait bien plaisir de savoir de tes bonnes nouvelles que fait ta petite soeur j’espere quelles est bien mignone tu diras à maly que je n’est pas le temp de lui ecrire car maman n’est pas bien Alors j’est du vouloir à faire maintenant elle dort alors j’en profite pour t’écrire mais je crois que s’est pas pour longtemps. je termine en t’embrassant bien fort

You letter arrived, and your good news made me very happy. What is your little sister doing? I hope that she’s being a good, well-behaved girl. Please tell Maly that I don’t have the time to write her because my mother is not well. I actually would like to do it now as she’s sleeping, so I’m taking advantage of that to write you, but I don’t think I’ll have long. I’ll close now by giving you a big strong hug.
