<p>This will acknowledge receipt of your letter of October 30th with reference to the above named.</p>

<p>We regret exceedingly that none of the names mentioned in your letter appear on any of the lists which we have received from Switzerland.</p>

<p>We regret that there is no way by which we can institute a search for persons who are known to have been in enemy territory. However, we plan to endeavor to trace such people after the war and are enclosing herein a tracer application blank which we would ask you to fill out in detail giving us all possible information about your relatives so that we can take action as soon as the situation will warrant us doing so.</p>
