J’ai reçu hier pour vous un message de la “Croix Rouge” de l’Angleterre, je suppose, que c’est encore de votre oncle, mais il n’y a pas d’adresse dessus. Je lui ai répendu tout de suite, j’ai donné votre adresse, mais j’ai ècrit, que vous viendrez ici aussitôt que les trains marcheront régulièrement. J’ai aussi écrit aujourd’hui pour la troisième fois a votre tante Flora en Amérique; j’espère bien, qu’elle recevra mes cartes et qu’elle vous ècrira bientôt. Il fait terriblement froid ici, il y a beaucoup de neige, je suis contente, que vous soyez dans une maison bien chaufée. Miriam se porte bien, elle est très sage et fait tout, pour me faire plaisir. J’espère que vous serez bonnes amies, quand vous venez chez nous.

Yesterday I received on your behalf a message from the “Red Cross” in England, and I suppose that it is once again from your uncle, but there is no sender address on it. I responded to him right away, I gave him your address, but I wrote that you would be coming here as soon as the trains are running regularly. Today I also wrote for the third time to your Aunt Flora in America; I really hope that she will receive my postcards and that she will write to you soon. It's terribly cold here, there's lots of snow, so I'm happy that you are in a house that's well heated. Miriam is doing well, she's being very good and doing everything to please me. I hope that you become good friends when you come to us.
