<pb facs="soh.sto001.00246.002"/>

<salute>My dear Béatrice and Suzy,</salute></opener>

<p> I just received on your behalf a letter and photo from your uncle Ernest that I’m forwarding to you. Unfortunately, I’m not able to forward to you the small parcel he sent you, as the post office won’t accept it. I know from the OSE that you arrived safely at your uncle and aunt’s home. The OSE sent me 850 francs, your money that you were not permitted to take with you, which I gave to Mr. Aron to use to buy some books and toys for the children. The last parcel that came from Uncle Ernest I shared between Victoria and Esther Cukierman, as I know that you like them a lot. Have you already learned a few words of English? I’m very happy that you were able to depart so quickly. I’m now waiting for nice long letter from you,

<pb/>

telling me all about your journey, how you are liking things now in such a big city, and all the joy you have being among your family again. My darling girls, you haven't yet forgotten me, and Miriam especially talks very often about you. We're preparing to have a party for the July 14 celebration and another one to mark the summer vacation break, which means a lot of work for me. Please pass on greetings to your aunt and uncle from me.</p>
