Dearest Gretchen —

We just had mail call and again I didn’t get any letters so I am wondering again where it is being tied up. Of course it has been only four days since I had a letter but it certainly seems much longer. One consolation I have a lot to look forward to as I should receive several when they finally arrive.

The chaplain stopped by last night and gave us some things, hence the new stationery. The sheets are a little small but then there is so little we are allowed to write so guess I will have plenty of space.

Honey I was just thinking today that a week from next Saturday is our anniversary and so far I havn’t been able to find a thing to send you. Guess I will have to make it up to you later or when perhaps I can find something nice for you. Im looking forward to the 12th.

I saw the wonders of plasma demonstrated and it is almost unbelievable what it can do. Before it was administered the patient was pale and so weak he couldn’t talk from loss of blood. After receiving he perked up and even kidded with the Dr. I am sure no one in the states realizes what it can actually accomplish. It’s really a miracle.

We managed to get electricity today so have a radio connected again. Seems swell to be able to hear music and the news. Incidentally, have you read any thing about our outfit in the papers? If by chance you do please save the clippings as I would like to see them.

I left my laundry back at the town where Personnel is as it wasn’t ready when I left. Now I’m wondering if and when I will receive some. The boys told me they would send it out with the mail truck so I’m sweating it out.

We had a beautiful day today and the weather seems to be warming up considerable so perhaps spring is finally arriving. There is a lot of green vegetation but I think most of it stays that way all winter.
