My Darling —

This has finally turned out to be a very pretty day after quite a hard rain this morning. I have been here three days now and it has rained every day, fortunately the sun has shown part of every day.

I didn’t receive any mail from you again today (two days in a row) so am looking forward to receiving two or three tomorrow. I did receive a nice letter from Otto and was very glad to hear from him. He mentioned seeing the pictures I had sent home to you. I am inclosing a few pictures of some of the boys in Personnel also some of Berchtesgaden and Hitler’s Home.

We wound up having quite a little party last night. After I finished writing you I went in and had a couple more drinks. We had three bottles of liquor, one rum one cognac, and one white wine plus the beer so had quite an enjoyable evening. The two boys from Div Hqs left around twelve and we hit the hay soon after. Some how the talking got back to the night we pulled out from Gruber and to some of the silly things that happened enroute.

We just found out that we are to have an enlisted men’s club in Kufstein. We have been issued membership cards and I think it will be real nice. It is to be for the rear echelon only (about 300 fellows) so shouldn’t be too crowded. That will give us someplace to go evenings and help to pass the time away. They are going to have a bar but think beer is all that will be available. They figure the assessment will be about 50 c weekly which is plenty reasonable. They plan to open tomorrow nite (Saturday) so I can tell you more about it after seeing same.

I havn’t had much work to do today so am writing this at the office. All I have done today is a little filing and wrote one indorsement. Suppose things will pop one of these days and we will be busy as hell. How do you like this manifold paper? It is some liberated Jerry stuff but the boys prefer it over ours.

Well darling I’m completely out of news as there really hasn’t been anything of interest happen since last writing you. Will be keeping my fingers crossed in hopes of hearing from you in the morning.

I just finished talking with Cap’t O’Brien and he seemed very unhappy. I know he asked for me to come back but apparently they refused him as he told me I was staying here. If so I will be transferred from Co “A” to Headquarters, anyway I'll know definitely in a few days.
