<opener><dateline>August 14 - 1984</dateline>

<salute>Dear Howard;</salute>
</opener>

<p>I received your letter today and
as you can see I'm not waisting any time
in replying.</p>

<p>The main reason for being so
prompt, is that I dont know how long
you plan to stay in this part of the country,
so as we can get together and discuss
this mather. We are only about 160 miles
apart.</p>

<p>For quite a few years I have been
prompted by my children and freinds
to write the story every time I mention
something about my past. My reply
is always the same; I can talk about
this to you people, but I can not put
it on paper and be understood and legible
by strangers. If I could only find someone
<del>to</del> to listen to me, and be able to write —
I. would.</p>

<pb facs="soh.sto003.00024.002"/>

<p>Well; It seems this is ment to be.</p>

<p>I would like to get together with
you at your convenience and discuss
this a bit further.</p>

<p>You are welcome to come to
Gering and spend as long <add>a time</add> as it
takes to get the ball rolling.
We have plenty of room.</p>

<p>I beleve somethink can be worked
out.</p>

<salute>Best regard;<lb/>
Sincerely</salute>

<note>I have an answering machine
at the house, if I am out.</note>
