OMAHA COMMUNITY CHEST 736 KILPATRICK BUILDING, 15TH AT FARNAM • OMAHA 2, NEBRASKA • JACKSON 82321 To: The Member Agencies
From: The Budget Committee

The Budget Committee has been advised that the 1950 Community Chest Campaign will raise a total of $775,000. This is $25,000 less than was raised last year and compares with the $766,657 raised for 1948 and $775,756 raised for 1947.

This has necessitated a review and reduction of the allocations tentatively made by our Committee prior to the campaign. We appreciate that you will probably have as much difficulty as did the Budget Committee in revising your figures. With this in view we are, therefore, mailing this preliminary report rather than waiting for the next meeting of your Board as your finance committee may wish to have an opportunity to study these figures before your meeting.

This does not change our original plan of wanting to meet with your Board to supplement this campaign report and answer any questions regarding the post-campaign budgeting procedure, a copy of which was delivered to your group last year. We would appreciate your advising us when it would be convenient to meet with your board and letting us know if there is any way that we can be of assistance in helping you revamp your budget within the figures available.

BUDGET COMMITTEE
BY: WILLIAM A. SOHL, SECRETARY

P.S. The Budget Committee is recommending that your appropriation for the coming year be $45,003, which is $1,100 more than you received in 1948 and we trust will be of some help in revamping your program to conform within the funds available through the 1950 campaign.
