j’ai bien reçu ta lettre du 14 courant qui ma fait bien plaisir d’avoir de tes bonnes nouvel moi je suis en bonne santé ainsi que les miens il y a quelque jours qu’il ne fait pas très beau a Eymoutiers alors je m’ennui beaucoup. je viendrais peut etre en vacance aux Masgelier moi je ne suis pas tu tout de cette avis maman le voudrais bien pourtant parce qu’elle trouve que je ne mange pas assez. enfin j’espère que cela sarrangera comme je le veul allées vous vous baigné l’abas? moi j’y vais tous les soirs merci beaucoup du bonjour de Saloman. moi je lui le passe aussi.   cher Beate je voudrais bien que tu dise a Maly chmellz que ma cousine cet à dire Madeleine Clein est parti en vacance et elle pourrait m’ecrire cela me fera bien plaisir tu lui dira que madeleine lui ecrira peut hetre je termine en t’embrassan affectueusement

I received your letter of the 14th of this month, and getting your news made me very happy. I’m in good health as are my family. It’s been several days now of not so nice weather in Eymoutiers, so I’ve been very bored. I may come on vacation to Masgelier. I’m not of the same opinion at all, but mother would really like it because she thinks that I don’t eat enough. In the end, I hope that this will sort itself out as I wish it to. Do you go swimming there? I go swimming every evening Thank you so much for your greeting from Saloman. I greet him in return as well.   Dear Beate I would very much like you to tell Maly Chmeltz that my cousin, that is Madeleine Clein, has gone on vacation and she could write to me. I would like that very much. Tell her that Madeleine will perhaps write to her. I’ll close this letter by hugging you affectionately.
