Dear Béate July 16, 1943
You letter arrived, and your good news
made me very happy. What is your little
sister doing? I hope that she’s being a good, well-behaved girl.
Please tell Maly that I don’t have the time to
write her because my mother is not well. I actually would
like to do it now as she’s sleeping, so[?] I’m taking advantage of that
to write you, but I don’t think I’ll have
long. I’ll close now by giving you a big strong
hug.
