J'ai bien reçu ta lettre d'Angleterre qui m'a fait très plaisir de savoir que tu ne t'ennuyais pas trop. Ici, le 14 juillet c'est très mal passé à causes des grandes qui sont sortis à Mainsat pour regarder les manèges. J'espère que pour toi il n'en y est pas de Fêtes? Tu me raconteras dans la prochaine lettre tes occupations, tes distractions.
En ce moment je suis des cours d'Anglais avec Mme Serrièlie[?]. Tu diras à Suzy que je pense toujours à elle et que je lui écrirais la prochaine fois. Tu lui demanderas si elle peut m'envoyer des timbres doubles et que je lui en remercierais.

I got your letter from England, and reading it made me very happy to know that you are not too bored and missing us there. Here, the July 14 celebration did not go well at all because of the older children who had an outing to Mainsat to see the fair rides and festivities. I hope that for you there were no celebrations there? In your next letter tell me what you're doing and what you do for fun.
I'm currently taking classes in English with Mrs. Serrièlie[?]. Tell Suzy that I think of her all the time and that I will write to her the next time. Ask her if she can send me some double stamps and I will thank her for doing that.
