Letter from Rosa Eliscu to Alfred, Käte and Eva Speier, December 15, 1936
Mrs. Frederick Eliscu Dear Kate, Alfred and Eva,

Welcome to these United States of America. I do hope and pray you will always be happy and contented here and that the Lord will bless you with good health and prosperity.

We will try and see you soon in Lincoln for we are all anxious to make your acquaintance.

Ruth Ann is so sorry she will not be able to meet you in Chicago. She is at home already for her Christmas holiday vacation and won't return to Chicago until January 4th.

Things will seem very different for you at first but you will soon accustom yourself to the change.

I enjoyed your letters to my birthday so much and many thanks for your good wishes. I had such a lovely day with all our children home and our adorable grandchild. Janice of course is the main attraction for everyone when she is here.

We must get together and talk about our grand children! Hannah is a lovely baby and so healthy looking. You can be very proud of her!

Hope you have nice weather for your landing and the few days you spend in New York. It has been a beautiful Autumn and do hope the Winter won't be severe.

We expect to spend Christmas in Nevada with Helen and Milton if the weather is nice enough to drive.

All wish you a pleasant trip to Lincoln and good luck in every way.

Love from Fred, Juliette, Ferna Jean Ruth Ann, and Rose.
