Sehr geehrter Herr & Frau Speier.
Ihren Brief vom 10. 11. mit bestem Dank erhalten. Ich freue mich sehr, Sie recht bald hier begrüßen zu können. Habe sehr Glück gehabt und wieder eine sehr gute Position gefunden. Habe mit Mrs. Roth über Ihre Ankunft gesprochen. Geben Sie mir Bescheid wenn Sie abfahren und ich werde bestimmt am Pier sein und Sie abholen. Ein Kabel wäre garnicht nötig, da ich hier
von der Linie die genaue Anfkunft erfahren werde. Der 11 + 18 fallen auf einen Sonnabend, es kann auch sein, das die Dampfer erst am Sonntag rein kommen. Der Preis $8.– im Park Central ist für beide Zimmer berechnet.
Auch möchte ich Ihnen mitteilen, daß ich einen sehr günstigen Tag für den Besuch bei Miss L. abgewartet habe--die richtige Cab[?] ist 325. Riverside Drive.
Für die kurze Zeit, welche Sie noch in Halberstadt l verbringen werden, wünsche ich Ihnen noch alles Gute, auch eine glückliche Überfahrt und gutes Landen in U.S.A.

I am very much looking forward to welcoming you here very soon. Have been very lucky and found another very good position. Have spoken with Mrs. Roth about your arrival. Let me know when you depart, and I will certainly be at the pier to pick you up. A cable would not be necessary at all, as I will find out the exact arrival time from the shipping line here. The 11th and 18th fall on a Saturday; but it is possible that the steamers will not arrive until Sunday. The price of $8 at the Park Central is for both rooms.
I would also like to inform you that I have waited for a very favorable day to visit Miss L.—the correct taxi[?] is 325 Riverside Drive.
For the short time you will still be spending in Halberstadt, I wish you all the best, a pleasant crossing, and a safe arrival in the USA.
