1 You always stayed awake late Christmas Eve, hoping to sneak a look at Santa Claus and a snort of eggnog.

2 And you were so excited in the morning you were up before dawn...

3 ... in such a hurry to get downstairs you didn't even bother to dress...

4 ... but the other kids always got there first.

5 Everybody admired everybody else's toys...

6 ... and scrambled to see who would get to play with them.

7 A month's grocery budget was blown on Christmas dinner.

8 The sock was full of all kinds of surprises.
