Honorable Sir:
I am submitting to you an affidavit of support which I have prepared in behalf of my cousin Heinz Schoenwald, a native and resident of Germany, who is very anxious to immigrate to the United States.
I wish to recommend the said Heinz Schoenwald very highly. I know him since his earliest childhood and have always found him to be a very sincere, intelligent, capable and ambitious boy. I feel that once admitted to the United States he will adapt himself readily and become a desirable citizen.
I am hereby guaranteeing that I shall never under any circumstances whatsoever permit him to become a public charge upon any community of the United States after his entrance into this country for permanent residence. I am assuming this responsibility because of my feeling of friendship toward him and because of a sense of moral obligation.
I am holding a degree of doctor of medicine and received license No. 29610 to practice medicine in the State of New York on September 20, 1934. I am practicing in Mt. Vernon and am living with my wife in an onefamily house at 336 Tecumseh Ave. My wife is self supporting, we have no children.
I have filed my petition for
citizenship September 13, 1938 in the United States District Court at White Plains, N.Y.
I do hope thet you will see fit
to issue a visa
to Heinz Schoenwald and permit
him to enter the United States for permanent residence to join the petitioner.
