Miss Gertrud Grauer, my elementary school teacher. Shown here with her first grade students at Kepler School. The school was named after the German astronomer, Johannes Kelper, who spent the last four years of his life, 1626-30, in Ulm. In October, 1935 Miss Grauer penned these words in my album, "A faithful thought and a happy memory are the most cherished gifts recieved from God." "A friendly reminder of your elementary school years and your teacher, Gertrud Grauer."
