Il ressort des éléments de nos archives référencées sous le n° 2916 concernant :
Beate ou Beatrice STERN
Née le 8 octobre 1932 à Lauterbach (Allemagne)
que sa famille a été expulsée de Karlsruhe en Allemagne en 1940 et internée au camp de Gurs puis à Rivesaltes d'où le père a été transféré au camp des Milles.
En novembre 1941, Beate et sa soeur Suzy sont libérées de GURS par l’OSE qui les prend en charge.
Beate est alors cachée successivement dans différentes maisons d'enfants de l'OSE dans la région de la Haute-Vienne à Montintin, puis le 24 décembre 1941 au Couret. Le 26 mars 1943, elle est transférée au Masgelier où elle a rejoint sa soeur Suzy.
Suite aux arrestations de jeunes enfants au Masgelier, le 16 novembre 1943, Beate et Suzy sont déplacées et cachées par le circuit clandestin de l'OSE dit "Circuit Garel" dans l’Aveyron au Préventorium de Belmont puis, le 12 mars 1945 dans une institution religieuse la Miséricorde à Millau.
Dans l’attente de leurs visas d’entrées pour l’Angleterre, elles sont transférées pour quelques jours au château de la Borie à Limoges. En avril 1945, elles sont envoyées à Montintin en Haute-Vienne puis à Chaumont dans la Creuse où elles sont accueillies par leur tante Mme Loewenthal. Le 2 juillet 1945, Beate et Suzy partent rejoindre leur tante Bertha Gottlieb en Angleterre.
Cette attestation est délivrée ce jour pour servir et valoir ce que de droit.

According to the elements in our archives referencing the n° 2916 concerning:
Beate or Beatrice STERN
Born on October 8th, 1932 at Lauterbach (Germany)
whose family was expelled from Karlsruhe in Germany in 1940 and interned at the Gurs camp then at Rivesaltes where the father was transferred to the Camp des Milles.
In November 1941, Beate and her sister Suzy were liberated from Gurs by the OSE who took charge. Beate was then hidden successfully in different OSE children’s homes in the Haute-Vienne region at Montintin, later in December 24, 1941 at Couret. On March 26, 1943, she was transferred to Masgelier where she was reunited with her sister Suzy.
After the arrests of children at Masgelier on November 16, 1943, Beate and Suzy were moved and hidden by the clandestine circuit of OSE called “Circuit Garel” in Aveyron at the Belmont Preventorium, then on March 12, 1945 at a religious institution, La Miséricorde, in Millau.
While waiting for their visas for England, they were transferred for some days to the château de la Borie at Limoges. In April 1945, they were sent to Montintin in Haute-Vienne then at Chaumont in Creuse where they were welcomed by their aunt, Mrs. Loewenthal.
July 2, 1945, Beate and Suzy left to meet their aunt, Bertha Gottlieb, in England.
This certificate was delivered that day to serve and state what happened.
