Dear Miss Gottlieb,

Many thanks for your letter of the 30th October. I was delighted to hear from you and do hope that you are settling down well in the States. The little Stern children are very charming and have both been registered with the American Consulate. Unfortunately, it is not easy at the moment to arrange emigration, but I can assure you that Mrs .Haigh is doing her utmost to assist in the case.

My sister is very well. Little Naomi is quite charming, in spite of the bad beginning which you unfortunately had to witness, far in advance of her age, and the pride of the family.
