Letter from Flora and Albert Schmidt to Beate and Suzy Stern, September 10, 1946

My dear Beate and Dear Suzy,
[?]

Thanks very much for your nice letter dear Beate you write wonderful english. I wish only your Mama and Dady could see it, both would be very proud of you. Your Mamy wrote english also. And your drawing is very pretty the little bird with letter and the flowers are excellent. Today I was shopping with Aunty Bertha, she bought for you very nice dresses and shoes. I hope you will like it, but now the ships are on strike and we can't send your things. I hope it will be over soon and you will get it by your birthday dear Beate. Oncle Albert and I bought you a fountain pen. My dear Suzy you will get one too.

How are you both. Now Dear Beate I really wish you would write us if you ever saw your dady's letter what he wrote to me. Please let me know you always were a very good girl and I don't know why you hesitate? I'm glad you had a nice time when you were camping. Did you get our package. The Sweaters are from Oncle Albert and me I hope they will fit you. I have ordered some in blue for you. I wish only the strike will get off so we could send the dresses and they would reach you for Youtof.

The dresses are on the order your Mamy always made for you. We hope to hear from you soon. Did you write to Grandma and congratulate to Rausch Hashona. I'm wishing you a very happy New Year and good Yontof.

With all my love and kisses your Auntie Flora
and Uncle Albert
