I hope dear Beate you will like it and dear Suse get one too. We have it already here. Dear Beate I hope you take good care of your sister you are the older one and you have to give in.

Uncle Ernest told me today he will send you a package of Choclades and he had sent you a dollar in the letter did you received? The Baby of Uncle Ernest and Aunt Melitta is very nice and is now 10 weecks old. He is blond and has big blue eyes.

Auntie Bertha went to bed already, she has to get up at 5 o'clock in the morning.

Dear Beate, what do you say to your dady's letter, if you are very religious and a good girl you will obey your fathers last wish, he must had his reason. Grandma is very ennoyed that you don't write to her. When you both were very young, Grandma took very good care of you and gave you everything, now she is old1

I am sorry, dear Beate, that you feel so tired. May be you are working too hard. It must be very cold in London now. See that you always wear warm clothes so that you won’t catch a cold. I shall be glad for you when the winter is over because I know how cold it is in England. I hope Aunti Mary will like the blouse you are making. it must be difficult to make a pair of trousers for Naphtali. I think you are a clever girl dear Beate. I couldn’t make things like that. How is my dear little Suse? Did you see your friend Judith again? Did you get the comics? Aunti Flora forgott to put some in that last parcel which I hope you have received by now. Did Mrs. Rosenbaum and Evelyn come to see you? It was nice of your teacher   Dear Beate, to give you such a lovely costume. Now, I will close.

Aunti Flora and uncle Albert are going to a wedding and it is a pity you two can’t go with them but may be next time. – Dear Beate and dear Suse take good care of yourselves. When you have time please write to Oma a few times. She likes to hear from you. Uncle Siegfried must read your letters to here, since she can only read German.
