An Invitation To Make History

To Honor The Past

Founded and Chaired by Steven Spielberg, Survivors of the Shoah Visual History Foundation is a non-profit organization looking for Holocaust survivors throughout the world who are interested in sharing their stories. The Foundation will create a permanent record of survivors' personal experiences before, during and after the Holocaust.

Guided by renowned educators, documentary film-makers and experts in archival technology, this project will collect videotaped interviews from all over the world to become the largest historical archive of its kind.

To Ensure The Future

By sharing stories first-hand, survivors play a vital role in making sure one of the most devastating events in human history is never forgotten. The testimonies also honor the memory of the more than six million whose stories will never be heard.

Each videotaped interview will remain unedited, preserved exactly as it is told to the interviewer. The testimonies will be made available to museums and other non-profit organizations exclusively for historical and educational purposes.

So Generations Will Remember

A personal Testimony is the greatest gift a survivor can give to future generations

Every story is unique. Every voice, every face is important. Every videotape is a legacy for children, grandchildren and generations to follow. Each survivor who is interviewed will receive a copy of the videotape for their personal family archive.
