Womens' Organizations Recognize Scholars

The Barb Activities Board for Women at the University of Nebraska honored independent women who have been outstanding in scholarship and activities at a dessert supper in the Student Union. Chairman for the event was Joan Hathaway, Love Memorial Hall won the plaque for achievement.
New officers of the BABW are Marian Sokol of Loup City, president; Hanna Rosenberg of Lincoln, vice president; Sue Hinkle, of Grand Island, and Doris Eby treasurer.
Senior Board members are Miss Hathaway and Gertrude Sokol. On the junior board are Jan Davidson, Marie Gerdes, Mary Jane Phelps, Alice Young and Miss Hinkle. Sophomore board members are Lorraine Haggart, Donna Miller, Pat Sherman, Rose Wiggins, Vesta Shay and Miss Eby.
