Household Supply Kit, Boxed, W/Contents; German. Alfred and Kate Bluth Speier, and their daughter Eva, escaped Nazi Germany in December of 1936. They settled in Lincoln, Nebraska, where Alfred's cousin was already residing. Alfred had owned a high-end "Speier's" fabric store in Halberstadt, Germany. This kit was part of the items the family brought with them from Germany to Lincoln.
