Dein Nr. 15 haben wir bekommen, inzwischen war ich in Katscher und habe das Grundstück für Tante verkauft. Dort hat sich nichts verändert, bis auf die uns alle betreffenden Angelegenheiten. Frau Cohn (Widawer) wohnt jetzt in Berlin. Heute war ich wegen Deiner Brille bei R., ist nichts notiert. Du musst mir also das Rezept senden, oder den Arzt nennen, damit ich hingehen kann, besser ist natürlich das Rezept. Sehr wichtig ist die Pupillendistanz, wegen der Größe des Nasenstegs, die Pupillendistanz steht aber bestimmt nicht auf dem Rezept. Vielleicht kannst Du diese dort feststellen lassen.
A. und S. haben ihre sehr gute Ankunft in Kapstadt telegraphisch gemeldet, in ca. 8 Tagen wird wohl ein Brief hier sein. Ich hätte Dir sonst nichts mitzuteilen, wir sind alle gesund.

überhaupt bei der Hausarbeit macht mir die Wärme zu schaffen, doch leider keine
Gewichtsabnahme daraufhin. Vatel sieht wieder besser aus, die Kragen passen wieder. Leider habe ich so wenig Zeit für ihn durch den Koch-Kursus, aber auch das hat ja einmal ein Ende. Ich hoffe, dass ich Dir das alles einmal vorführen kann. Neulich besuchte uns Claire, Tante Elses Schwester, sie war auf der Durchreise hier. Sie erzählte Irma hat es sehr gut in Glasgow getroffen.
Irma war 2 Tage in Bern, sie wird schon wieder Verehrer finden. Herbert Baum ist auch in New York. Ich will Dir die Adresse verschaffen. Er ist doch so ein netter Kerl. Du hast sehr Recht mit american boys zusammen zu kommen, das ist bestimmt das Richtige. Heute an 20sten treffen Alfred und S. in Durban ein. Susels Karte brauchst Du nicht zurückzuschicken. Am 16.6. fuhren Messows ab. Martha schrieb uns einmal, dass Herr Nitsche nun aus Joh. zurückkommt. Sonst hören wir wenig von dort.
Frau Lesser lässt Dich ebenfalls grüßen, die anderen Grüße konnte ich noch nicht ausrichten.

Your letter No.14 has arrived. In the meanwhile, I have gone to Katscher and sold the estate for our Aunt. Nothing much has changed there, except for a few things that concern us. Mrs. Cohn (Widawer) now lives in Berlin. Today, I went to R. for your glasses but he had no paperwork on you. So you will have to send me your prescription. The distance of the pupils as well as the length of the ear piece are very important. The former may not be noted on the prescription. Maybe you can get that information for me from over there.
A. and S. have announced their arrival in Capetown via telegram. We will probably receive a letter in 8 days or so. That’s all for today. We are all healthy.

Unfortunately, I’m not losing any weight. Vatel looks better again. His shirts fit him again. Unfortunately I have so little time for him because of the cooking class, but that will end soon too. I hope that someday I will get to show you all the things I learned. Recently, Claire, Aunt Else’s sister, came by for a visit. She was on her way through. She told us that Irma has had some luck in Glasgow. Irma went to Bern for 2 days. She will soon have her admirers again. Herbert Baum is also in New York. I will get his address for you. He is such a nice young man. You are right about getting together with american boys. That is a good idea, I think. Today on the 20th, Alfred and Suse arrive in Durban. You don’t have to send back Susel’s postcard. On June 16th, the Messows left. Martha wrote to us that Mr. Nitsche will return from Johannesburg soon. But that’s all we here from there.
